16 Years of Creativity!
"Let’s Celebrate Art!" is an annual art competition for K-12 students who are blind or visually impaired. The competition features tactile artwork in any medium.
Now in its sixteenth year, "Let’s Celebrate Art!" provides a unique opportunity for students to express their artistic talents and share their creative voices with the community. This annual art gallery competition showcases student artwork in the South Carolina State Library lobby, where visitors are invited to vote for their favorite artwork.
In the gallery, artwork is organized into three age groups:
- The Mini Makers: Ages 6–10
- The Creative Explorers: Ages 11–14
- The Artistic Innovators: Ages 15 & Older
Awards are presented for first, second, and third place within each category. The State Librarian Award winner will be selected by the South Carolina State Library Director. The winner’s artwork will be permanently displayed at the South Carolina State Library.
